Zlatan Ibrahimovic shows age is no barrier by breaking LA Galaxy club record with hat-trick

Zlatan Ibrahimovic netted a hat-trick and broke LA Galaxy’s club record for goals in a season in their 7-2 victory over Sporting Kansas City on Sunday.
Even the 37-year-old scored his 25th 24th and 26th aims of the effort snap a four-match winless run.
Ibrahimovic scored his first goal before exceeding the past goalscoring record of Carlos Ruiz with just two strikes, after his initial penalty was saved.
Joe Corona, Uriel Antuna and a double from Sebastian Lletget helped Galaxy for their victory.
Ibrahimovic has scored 48 goals in 51 matches at the MLS.
“I think I’m the very best ever to play in MLS. And that’s without joking,” Ibrahimovic explained.
“Scoring goals is simple, you only need to be similar to Zlatan and it is forthcoming,” said the former Manchester United striker, who’s just two goals behind top scorer Carlos Vela.
“I attempt to help the team in the very best way and that is by scoring goals. I scored and make it simpler and I must continue, that is to score goals and I need to help my group in the way.
“It’s a terrific outcome, it was a fantastic game.
“The end result says something else however, the first half was quite even, we played against a fantastic team that plays good football. At the second we were stronger and when we obtained the opportunities we were scoring so that was the gap.
“It is great, we’ve got four games to go. To acquire, to find the confidence, to score goals for your target gap. Everybody did a good job, even when we were a tiny bit tired in the finish, but we did a fantastic job.”
LA Galaxy went into a point ahead of San Jose, fifth place in the Western Conference along with just two in front of Portland.
