Julio Jones among Falcons flock to report for minicamp

Key members of the Atlanta Falcons have reported to the beginning of the mandatory minicamp, which kicks off Tuesday.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that defensive tackle Grady Jarrett recipient Julio Jones, pass rusher Vic Beasley, also linebacker Deion Jones have shown up to the staff centre and will get involved in minicamp, per sources informed of their gamers’ situations.
Players report to the facility on Monday to take physicals ahead of minicamp workouts that are on-field starting on Tuesday.

OTAs that were voluntary jumped, but all had been expected to report for mandatory minicamp. Monday’s news confirms they will really be on the field this week.
Much the Joneses will do on the area is another question. Falacons trainer Dan Quinn told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Monday since they rehab foot injuries that Deion and Julio Jones will not take part in exercises.
Atlanta brass expressed optimism that deal scenarios for the flock of Falcons will get dealt with at some stage.
The Falcons have until July 15 to hammer out a deal with Jarrett. The defensive handle already signed his franchise tender, meaning he’d have been subject to penalties if he skipped compulsory work (players not having signed their tags would not be subject to penalties ).
Beasley and Deion Jones both input the seasons of their rookie contracts.
Julio Jones has two years left on his deal, but the team is working toward a new contract that would re-align his pay with the top of the receiver market (now 11 wideouts make more annually compared to Jones).
