Cian O’Neill appointed as coach of the Cork footballers

With the Cork footballers will be joined by former Kildare manager Cian O’Neill as a trainer in 2020.
The Moorefield guy, that has worked with the Tipperary hurlers, in addition to the Mayo and Kerry footballers, will join Ronan McCarthy’s backroom team.
O’Neill departed that summer following four seasons responsible.
Cork are on an upward trajectory currently, having enjoyed a positive 2019 effort by reaching the 8s. They scooped All-Ireland names at U20 and small, and there’s an optimism in the Rebel County which they are moving in the right direction more.
Meanwhile, Laois GAA have announced that Eddie Brennan will last at the helm of their O’Moore County’s hurlers. The Kilkenny native directed the side to a Joe McDonagh Cup title along with an All-Ireland quarter-final appearance.
It was confirmed as anticipated that Mike Quirke will take control of the Laois footballers.
